Pogba Reveals News Of His Covid-19 Test
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive for Covid-19, Manager of France national team, Didier Deschamps has confirmed, forcing him to leave the France Squad for the Nations League match.
Pogba who had previously been named in the world champions’ squad for upcoming fixtures against Croatia and Sweden has now been forced out of consideration for selection.
The 27-year-old player has been replaced by teenager Eduardo Camavinga, who was called up for the first time alongside Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
Speaking at his press conference after the squad announcement, Deschamps said: “I was led, at the very last minute, to make a change in the list. Paul Pobga was in this list. Unfortunately for him, he took a test yesterday, which turned out positive. So at the last moment, I had to replace him with Eduardo Camavinga”.

Pogba will now have to spend 14 days in self-isolation, meaning he will miss the start of the club’s pre-season preparations next Wednesday and France’s fixtures against Sweden and Croatia.
